:pokeball: Official Gen6 Announcement! :pokeball:

Hey members of PP! We're glad to announce that Gen6 is finally available on Poképlatform.

:new: The event is over!

Knowing our new and old members who already used up their character slots would possibly like to switch to a Gen 6 Gijinka, for one week until 24 November 23:59 Hawaiian Timewe are offering

:star: 1 free slot for Gen6 Gijinka. :star:

This slot is permanent and acts as additional slot which means it won't use up another free slot you have.  Note that the free-change applies only if you swap to a Gen-6 Gijinka (not for any other Gens, mind you) and that for switching back/again our usual rules apply. So you can't just switch back immediately.

Since this is a one-time only event and we're trying to make it as fair as possible, new members can apply for the switch regardless of whether they had their character for 3 months by now or not.

:pokeball: How to switch if I want to?

The same way as you normally do. Just fill in the form below and send it to us as note.

-Current Pkmn & Number:
-Desired Pkmn & Number:
-Current Team:
-(Optional, New Team: )
-Reason for switching:
-Description of your new character and what they want to achieve on the island:

Afterwards, you have 2 weeks to submit a new battle-card. If you don't, the spot is open for others again.

:pokeball: Mega-Evolution! :pokeball:

Gen6 also introduced a new mechanic to Pokémon, known as Mega-Evolution.
On Poképlatform, Gijinka recently discovered the existence of the Mega-stones and can now mega-evolve too!

Keep in mind that -

:bulletred: In general

:pokeball: - Mega-evolutions do not count as separate Pokémon, but as form-change of current ones.
:pokeball: - your character cannot mega-evolve without a corresponding mega-stone, and that the state is temporary
.
You can't have your Charizard-Gijinka run around as Mega-Charizard X 24/7 in roleplays. Even less when they don't have a mega-stone at all.
:pokeball:-  the art on the battle-card still must show the original Pokémon, not its mega-evolution.
If you want to show how your character would look like mega-evolved, you can use our ref-sheet or make your own. Or just draw pictures of it.

:bulletgreen: In official battles

:pokeball: - Your character must have the Mega-stone listed as held-item. They cannot hold another item if they do.
:pokeball: - You can decide whether you draw your opponent making use of mega-evolution or not. There's no penalty in doing or not doing so.
You are not forced to draw them mega-evolved just because they have the item listed.
:pokeball: - If your character has a Mega-stone as held-item, you should have a ref of them in their mega-evolved form linked in your Battle Card comment-section
Your opponent needs to know what they're supposed to draw after all.

And that's it. Should you have any more questions, just send us a note or comment here. The FAQ will be updated soon as well.
Other than that, have fun!
